What is FTP?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a way of moving files between two computers.

What will my FTP username be?
Your FTP username will be the first 8 characters of your control panel login. For example, if your control panel login is mygreatsite, your FTP username would be mygreats.

What will my FTP host be?
See your welcome email for more information about this - before your domain name has been transferred this will depend on the server that you are hosted on. Once your domain name has been transferred, you can usually use ftp.yourdomain.com.

What FTP client should I use?
That is entirely up to you, but here are some ones you might wish to consider:-
FileZilla (Windows)
gFTP (UNIX, Linux)
